The fruitcake was made this past weekend, and it is now swaddled in its wrappings waiting to come out on Christmas eve. Being from a fruitcake eating family, I never really got all the jokes about hating it until I had a really awful factory one. The light bulb was lit then. I have decided to continue making my own from scratch even though it requires up to four hours in the oven. This year I decorated my top and it turned out nicely. Now, in three weeks I can tell you how it fully turned out for taste this year.
